The game takes players on a wild ride through the boom bust economy with all the fun and none of the risks (minus ego bruises) of the real thing.  ”The aim is to be the last solvent player. In order to achieve this, players try to eliminate the competition. Risk cards encourage players to pick on each other,” the magazine advises.  No word yet if there will be an Bernard Madoff edition in which everybody wins for a while until the board spontaneously combusts and smirks at you while slowly burning away your life savings. The Sky is Falling for Jouros (Literally)

Everyone know that journalism is more fucked than Bristol Palin’s new daughter right now, but if only there was a metaphor to that would really drive the point home.  You know, something that would really  hit you over the head.  Well now, thanks to the kind folks from Mt. Olympus, strong winds knocked the “S” off the USA Today building, depriving it of a patriotic emblem and giving us a convenient harbinger of our industry’s demise.
