Have Hope, Obama Job Seekers

6 Jan

But not that much hope.  Obama-Biden Transition Chief Chris Lu told supporters today that they will only “scratch the surface” of the Plumb Book come Inauguration Day, Politico’s Ben Smith reports.  Hiring will continue into the spring and even summer, Lu said.

Since a spot in the Obama Administration is the hottest job in town, this news may be an awesome ray of hope, almost as powerful as the man himself, to Obama devotees.  Well, let me be the first to crush that dream.  There are about 346,000 job seekers for a meager 7,000 spots, Lu said.  That gives you about a 2% of landing one (if you round up).  You have a better chance of getting into Harvard, you  East Coast, hoity-toity, pinky drinking, pink shirt wearing, sail boat sailing, yaht club membershiping elitist.
